What dish size do I need?

Most people from the UK want to receive the UK specific channels. These include the BBC and ITV channels as well as many more. These channels are broadcast on the Astra2 satellites.

The image below shows the dish size that you will need in order to pick up the Astra2 satellite signal, depending on your destination/location.

In summary:

• 40cm dish covers England and Wales.
• 54cm dish covers all of the UK and Ireland and well into France.
• 65cm dish additionally covers the whole of France, Benelux and into Switzerland and West Germany. It also covers the Algarve in Portugal where there is a satellite 'hotspot'.
• 78cm dish extends coverage into Spain (approximately down to Barcelona) and North West Italy.
